Project

Mathesia is an academic-business innovation platform focused on applied mathematics, incubated at PoliHub at Politecnico of Milano. In 2018 we helped them to create various storytelling formats and knowledge resources, including:

a 3D animation video to introduce Mathesia
case studies research and design on Applied Mathematics and Data Science for their B2B stakeholders
an Outlook Report on Data Science to bring a critical perspective to the topic.

Report

The Report highlights the views of some of the most renowned international scientists and presents the findings from two surveys (businesses practitioners, and professionals and academics). It explores issues and impact of data science, including its challenges, risks, and benefits.

Ethical Issues

Privacy rights, ownership of data and control over autonomous things and systems represent sensitive risks: who is going to have access to all these data and benefit from it? Automatic decisions based on AI will become a reality, but this needs to be mitigated and regulated by society and politics. The Report reflects on what opportunities and challenges data science present today to stimulate the interaction between mathematics research, society and businesses.

Video Animation

We produced a one-minute explainer video using 2D and 3D animation to present Mathesia’s tech platform. We helped the CEO and business team analyse the problem they are trying to solve and review their value proposition statement, turning it into a short effective script and visuals.
